03 Days Kafunta River Lodge Safari
Lying just outside the South Luangwa National Park, Kafunta River Lodge overlooks the floodplains and the waterholes. The lodge offers eight chalets that are designed and constructed with wood and stone while the thatched roofs maintain the African touch. The wooden deck just above the waterhole is ideally set to discover the vast plains and the unhidden wilderness. Enjoy the meals under the vast African sky overlooking the savannah.

Day 1: Arrival
Reaching the Mfuwe International Airport you will be picked by the tour companion. You will further be transferred to the bush camp with an en-route game drive. This will be a 40-60 min game drive and as you reach, check-in at the camp. The day is at leisure and the meals will be served at your accommodation. In the evening you can go for an afternoon walk around the waterholes or enjoy the game watching from the deck. Dinners will be served at the lodge. Stay overnight at Kafunta River Lodge.
Day 2: Game Drives
Bird watching is best in the morning, so get up early for a morning game drive after the early breakfast where you can discover the plethora of birdlife dwelling amidst the wilderness of South Luangwa National Park. You will be assisted by the tour guide who will help you in better understanding the ecosystem. Get back to the camp for breakfast and lunch. The day is at leisure before you proceed for an evening guided walk. Walking safari is one of the best experiences here where you can spot the magnificent wilderness that dwells in the dense habitat of South Luangwa. Your dinner will be served at the camp before you call off the day.
Day 3: Departure
Before you check-out from the camp, enjoy the breakfast. You will enjoy the game drive on your way to the nearest airport. You will be transferred to the Mfuwe International Airport to board the flight to the onward destination.
Location
Kafunta River Lodge from Mfuwe airport will take 45 minutes of drive to the camp followed by a game drive. There are flights available from Lusaka to Mfuwe that take one hour to reach.
